License and Liability
Korsakow 5 is Open Source software. It is offered here as a free download under the GNU General Public License (v3). Please note that we offer Korsakow to you ‘as is’, meaning while we have tried very hard to make it as stable and reliable as possible, we cannot be held accountable for what it does on, or to, your computer, or for any lost work. The chances of any of this happening are of course very small, assuming you back up your work regularly.

New and improved features
- Users can now Import and Export Interface designs via File > Export > Shared Interface and File > Import > Shared Interface. (Can also right-click an interface and choose Export.)
Main application window
- When closing one project (ie when opening a second one, loading, importing, etc…) if there are resources being edited there is a prompt about losing unsaved work. If the user OK’s it the edits are automatically discarded
- Title bar now includes both project name and filename
- Mac only: Users can drag .krw files to the running icon of the Korsakow application to open that project
SNU Editor
- Reserved keywords (random, end, …) now start with a _ (this doesn’t affect importing K3 which uses random>, end+, etc…)
- When adding a new rule (ie an OUT keyword) the time should be the same as the one before it
- Rule editing: Korsakow now adds a space after comma separator
Interface Editor
- Users can now edit the properties of all selected widgets (only common properties are shown)
- Reworked widget resizing: aspect ratio maintained by default, use modifier key to break; aspect ratio is applied according to which side/corner is being dragged (for example resizing the right side will cause the widget to resize vertically to keep the aspect ratio, while keeping the widget centered vertically)
Tools
- When SNU Editor is opened, All Keywords Tool opens too
Playback in browser
- “Made in Korsakow” message is now in Arial, Verdana, SansSerif
- Added keyword metadata to index.html (this is admittedly a weak solution as most search engines pay little attention to this info)
Fixes
- Fixed: Default project size was off-centre and too small. Now 1024×768
- Fixed: SNU cannot be deleted after cloning it
- Fixed: Video export errors related to encoding lack detail
- Fixed: Users running an unsupported OS or Architecture (eg Mac PowerPC) don’t get a warning when starting Korsakow
- Fixed: Unclear error message for certain errors when loading a project
- Fixed: K3 imports fail when filename(s) contains a “?”
