Hey all,
I'm the IT Manager of a Mac computer lab at a college in Chicago. The Mac computers have a student account that is restricted by Parental Controls. But when students attempt to load an example in the "Help" dropdown menu, then click "File>Export>Draft for Web" the computer displays an error that states that the student doesn't have permission to access "ffmpeg." if I enter the admin password and click "Always allow" then a second error appears saying they don't have access to the application "yamdi." I click always allow, and the program runs fine UNTIL THE COMPUTER IS SHUT OFF. Then the cycle continues again. Obviously, I can't be sitting at the computer lab 24/7 entering in passwords, and teachers aren't allowed to have them or give them to students. In the parental controls menu in Mac OS X, there is no application called ffmpeg or yamdi because those applications only exist in the computer when the program is attempting to export.
How can I solve this issue?
Regards,
Catfish
