On some of the installations my students have (on their own macbook pros) we get transcoding error when attempting to export a project. The error dialog is included below. I've had some success with:

  1. getting the student to download/install all current system updates (there has always been a lot)
  2. then deleting existing Korsakow app.
  3. downloading again and running.

However, a couple seem to not respond to this (but aren't certain, they are naive users :-) ).

So, any tips, suggestions pointers? Also interested in why the system updates might help, all cases seem to be 10.6.x. Finally, and unhelpfully, can't rule out that they haven't updated Flash – asked them too, but again I can't be certain. (Gee, this is getting really unhelpful isn't it?). And the really buggy bit, both students have the same first name…

This has been fixed in all cases by:

  1. having them run and install all current system updates (via Software Update)
  2. deleting and reinstalling Korsakow
