Integration of Pano-QTVR
In a Korsakow-Projekt with software-version 3  I was able to use several panoramic QTVRs (.mov) as SNU and to link them to other SNUs.
In the main Window the QTVRs had shown a 360 degree view by mousemove.

This functions no longer in korsakow 5. The QTVR is shown like a camera move from left to right, the whole panorama in one second, thats all. The quality is very pixled.
(I tried to use a panoramic .swf  flash movie as SNU. But that does not work, cause of the video format.)
Has one of you tried to make a QTVR run in Korsakow?
Thanks and best regards, Marion

Hello Marion,

QTVR would no longer function the same way since we've switched from Shockwave to Flash. Shockwave allowed more plug-ins to work, while Flash is limited to content it supports natively. The .mov is being converted to an FLV, treating anything within as a movie (so removing the dynamic component of QTVR).

Korsakow at the moment doesn't support embedded SWF movies as SNUs (as far as I know) so even with a QTVR-to-SWF converter, it wouldn't work as expected. Allowing SWFs with some interaction might be a feature to pursue in the future.

Would it be possible to create an MOV of the QTVR playing through at your desired pace? That is, make it a regular MOV without the interaction, as you would have to do if you were making a DVD.

Good luck,

Gabriel
