Hi, my name is Juliana and I have a problem! :)

I´m dying to use Korsakow in my dissertation (all about non-linear narratives), so I first downloaded Flash, the latest version of Quicktime and Java, with the links posted here. Then I downloaded the latest Korsakow, XP version.

When I try to extract Korsakow zip file, I get this message: "Error: Can´t find Korsakow at lib.jar".

I tried to find some information about it at the FAQs, Tutorials and Quick Start but there´s none (I think).

Than I downloaded everything again, but the error keeps happening.

Can you help me? What am I doing wrong?

Hi Juiana,

Your problem sounds familiar. Version 5.02 for Windows had a problem like what you are describing, so we reverted the Windows download on the main page to 5.01. Can you confirm which version of K you are using?

The same problem for me.
Actually, with which exe file I should start it? There is no any exe file in the main folder of korsakowwin.zip. I consulted my colleague and he said that maybe installation archive is not full?
I tried to extract korsakow.jar, however it didn't help me.

Hi all,

Sorry I had some trouble with my reply on the forum, so please let me know if this goes through!

The windows version launches by double-clicking the "korsakow.jar" file. If you have java installed this should launch the application.

Juliana's problem should be resolved in the next release, and we've reverted the current windows download to a former release in the meantime.

Hi,

I downloaded and extracted KorsakowWin.zip again.
But when I double-click korsakow.jar nothing happens. When I click open with JAVA Platform SE binary, I get this message: "Error: Can´t find Korsakow at lib.jar".

I tried on the Mac, everything works fine. But how to start it on Windows?
