Because I've posted a couple help requests, I thought it polite to introduce myself. I claim to be a media anthropologist and doc filmmaker, but my main identity/activity at the moment is teaching undergraduates in Studio Arts (at UCI) and graduate students in Visual Anthropology (at USC) in the making of digital media (of various forms and genres of these different fields).

I heard about Korsakow from colleagues at the IML but had not yet downloaded and tried it. So, for my intermediate digital arts class this spring, I decided my students and I would experiment with this tool and way of thinking. We all started April, 2010 without prior knowledge of K-filmmaking and have run into a series of bumps, but all in all it's proving to be a great learning/teaching adventure. So, thanks to those who've invented, developed, and support Korsakow.

I've been creating K-Films with my students at CSU-Long Beach Anthropology for a few years now.  We'll be having a showcase soon (just for my class, so no big deal).  My colleague Steve Rousso-Schindler and I want to start some new media and anthropology events for this area.  Let me know if you (or your students) would be interested in a regional "new media anthropology" conference or something this fall.   Scott.  my email is swilson4@csulb.edu
