KORSAKOW WORKSHOPS AT ARC.

 

KORSAKOW WORKSHOP: Transmedia Days, Montreal, February 22, 2012.

 Led by Concordia MA student Ilana Kelemen, this small workshop was organized for the successful Transmedia Days in Montreal.

KORSAKOW WORKSHOP at Visible Evidence 18, New York University, August 10-14th, 2011.

Following up on our very successful workshop at Visible Evidence in Los Angeles in August 2009, we are again offering a Korsakow workshop at this year’s Visible Evidence conference. Participants should download this information sheet ASAP so they can come prepared. It will be led by Florian Thalhofer and Matt Soar, and held on Friday evening from 7.30pm-9pm. NB This particular workshop is only open to Visible Evidence attendees and will not be held in a computer lab, so please bring your laptops or plan to attend with a friend who has a laptop with them. (Please note that Matt and Florian will also be on a database documentary panel at Hunter College on Saturday, 11am-12.30pm.) More information soon!

UPDATE #1 (Aug 8, 2011): If you’re planning to attend the workshop at VE18, please go to the Korsakow download page now! Check to make sure your laptop is compatible and up to date, then grab the latest version of Korsakow for Mac or PC. While you’re at it, also download the free starter pack of public domain video and stills to use in your first Korsakow film. For those of you who are already making Korsakow films or planning a new Korsakow project, you’ll have the opportunity (time allowing) to sit down with Florian and discuss your ideas.

KORSAKOW WORKSHOP: Concordia University, December 11-12th, 2010.

Great turnout for this workshop. We had grad students, local artists, and reps from the NFB. We also snagged one of David Ward’s amazingly huge touchscreens so we could watch Korsakow films and view our own work in progress. Thanks to Dayna McLeod for running this great workshop.
